Ok it's the triangle area cross river parkway, sound ave and northville 
turnpike. Great views, also at least one cackling  goose, best viewed from 
sound ave

The header on Andrew Block's posting has me bamboozled for a second.
How did I not know about this bird? In my book, 'Yes'/'no' qualifiers
usually indicate the status of previously reported birds. Then I
realize that the PINK-FOOTED GOOSE is across the border in New Jersey,
not NYS and that his message being cross posted. Thus some background
maybe helpful for those not watching the NJ lists.

Obviously this is exciting news for our friends to the south. From
what I can tell, the goose was found on Monday (7 Mar 2011) by a
Bergen County birder. The land is private and there are access issues
but quite a number of people have seen the goose on Tuesday and today.
This location is only a few miles south of Rockland County, and
significantly, it is also not too far from the prime goose habitat of
Orange County...
