Cupsogue was very quiet birdwise - though there was a Snowy Owl in the vicinity. An additional bird was picked up near the other end of Dune Rd. There were several long-tailed ducks at the Ponqogue bridge, visible from the southern fishing pier and Shinnecock Inlet had quite a few Loons. Photos

I checked Gerry Park today and found neither Cackling Goose nor Greater White-fronted Goose. However, there were four Wood Ducks, six or seven Hooded Mergansers, and seventeen Gadwalls, in addition to the normal residents: Canada Geese, Mallards, and Herring and Ring-billed Gulls. There were also
