[nysbirds-l] Shearwaters at Cupsogue

Steve Biasetti and I did an ocean watch from 6;30 to 8:00 this morning, Saturday. We had about 120 Cory's Shearwater and about 5 Great. All moving east to west. There were also about 5 humpback whales and about 25 bottlenose dolphin which were quite close to shore. Sorry for the late post.

This early afternoon, after losing at our Condo's weekly Horseshoe Tournament, I decided to go birding and change my luck ! "The Golden Trapezium" was barren, but the sod field on the s/s of Sound Ave between Doctor's Path & Roanoke in Riverhead had shorebirds, albeit, less than on 8/23. There
