A Western Kingbird is currently perched up on a bare tree at the south side of
the open area in Jones Beach West End’s median. It is enduring quite a bit of
grief from a mockingbird and some Yellow-rumps, but so far it keeps returning
after its flights.
Cheers!

Apologies,
In the excitement over the Purple Gallinule, I inadvertently left out an
Eastern Bluebird (FOS) that Bob & I heard this morning in Shakespeare Garden.

For anyone around the 2 western kingbirds can be found by walking the median
towards the turnaround, making a left where you can see a path that looks like
car tire tracks, about 50% down that path and look east and there is a tall
bare tree with robins and the kingbirds are sitting in it.
