My friend Bobby just called me and said he had the brown pelican off two tree
island in pehlam bay park.he doesn't ebird or subscribe to the listserve so im
posting for him.last view of it was 20 minutes ago and it was chased off Danny
hat island by a great blue heron.heading towards the lagoon
In case anyone is interested the Ferruginous Hawk up in Orange Co. in New
Hampton area was last seen around 3pm or so along Celery Ave. and soon after on
Onion Rd. At least that's when I was there and it was seen.

Saturday, Jan. 16th:
Extralimital to NYS, a Ross’s Gull was seen by perhaps 200+ observers at
Hammonassett State Park near Madison, Connecticut on Saturday; some reports &
photo-links have appeared in the CT-Birds list-serve. An eBird report from the
finder of the Ross’s Gull is here (with
Ferruginous Hawk being seen on Celery Avenue New Hampton NY. Off county
route 37. Also known as Maple Avenue.
