A Black-throated Gray Warbler has been seen by many over several days at
Amherst Island SP in far western NY. Multiple neotropical-wintering migrants
were seen & some photographed while blowing snow was falling in parts of NY
state on 4/21, while small hail fell in multiple areas on the same

Swallow (VGSW) was not seen. This is a reminder of why banding codes should
be avoided on listserve postings.
Nevertheless looking forward to any positive or negative news about this
potential 1st New York State
The Violet-green Swallow that was photographed at Vischer Ferry Nature and
Historic Preserve in southern Saratoga County this morning was not refound
throughout the rest of the day today, Thursday, April 22.
The bird had been photographed as it perched on a branch along the old
canal tow-path
