BLUE JAYS are making a big push through central New York today. This morning between 0655 and 0800 I was able to count 1023 of them as they passed over my yard. I'm sure that I missed some as the flight paths of each wave varied in location and height in the sky. The only other migrants I noted
There was a significant push of nocturnal migrants last night, so I got out
into my yard pretty early this morning to see what might be around come the
morning light. At 5:45 AM I was listening to mostly Swainson's Thrushes
overhead, but there were a few other calls that I could not identify to
