Highlights: Baltimore Oriole, Pine Siskins, Purple Finches, Red-shouldered 
Hawk, Barred Owls, Merlin. Uptick in Wood Ducks. Turtle Pond and parts of the 
Lake frozen.

Canada Goose - around 25 Lake
Wood Duck - 10 Lake
Northern Shoveler - 10 Lake
Mallard - around 50 Lake
American Black Duck - 6 Lake
Mourning Dove - 10 feeders
Herring Gull - flyovers
Cooper's Hawk - juvenile (hatch-year) male Ramble
Red-shouldered Hawk - juvenile (hatch-year) flyover Great Lawn
Red-tailed Hawk - 3
Barred Owl - 2 continue (one flew after being harassed by crows (rept. David 
Barrett))
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 6
Downy Woodpecker 2 (feeders & east side of Lake)
American Kestrel - harassing Merlin
Merlin - chased grackles, perched later in kestrel's tree at Great Lawn 
carrying a small bird
Blue Jay - around 20 in Ramble
American Crow - 6
Black-capped Chickadee - 8
Tufted Titmouse - around 30
Red-breasted Nuthatch - 2 (feeders & Oven)
White-breasted Nuthatch - 6
Winter Wren - under Glade Arch south of Cedar Hill
Hermit thrush - 3 Gill Overlook
American Robin - 25
Northern Mockingbird - Boathouse
House Finch - 5 (in tuliptrees, a.k.a. tulip poplars,Shakespeare Garden & Bow 
Bridge)
Purple Finch - 4 in Ramble (3 females, male (rept. Jean Shum))
Pine Siskin - flock of 25 wandering from sweetgum to sweetgum (various locn's)
American Goldfinch - around a dozen in sweetgums
Eastern Towhee - 3 (2 males, 1 female)
Fox Sparrow - 6
White-throated Sparrow - around 125
Dark-eyed Junco - 3 Ramble
Baltimore Oriole - adult male Pine Hill near Boathouse
Common Grackle - around 150, some chased by Merlin
Northern Cardinal - feeding in tuliptrees
