Highlights: numbers of individuals reduced from earlier in the week, but still a good variety of species including 19 species of Wood Warblers, among them Louisiana Waterthrush, Worm-eating, Cape May, and Wilson's warblers. Canada Goose - 4 Lake Wood Duck - male south end of Reservoir Mallard - 8 Ruddy Duck - Reservoir Mourning Dove - 9 Chimney Swift - 8 to 10 over Reservoir & Turtle Pond American Coot - Reservoir Herring Gull - at least 200 Reservoir & flyovers Great Black-backed Gull - 16 Reservoir Double-crested Cormorant - 10 Reservoir & flyovers Black-crowned Night-Heron - willow on the Point Yellow-crowned Night-Heron - same will on the Point as Black-crowned Night-Heron Red-headed Woodpecker - just south of Tupelo Field Red-bellied Woodpecker - pair near Laupot fighting with Eu. Starlings, male at feeders Downy Woodpecker - Strawberry Fields & feeders Northern Flicker - pair is no longer nesting at Gill Overlook - starlings won Great Crested Flycatcher - seen at Gill Overlook, Summer House, and Mugger's Woods Eastern Kingbird - 5 Yellow-throated Vireo - Summer House Blue-headed Vireo - Upper Lobe Warbler Vireo - 4 Red-eyed Vireo - singing at Evodia Field Tree Swallow - Reservoir Northern Rough-winged Swallow - at least 2 Reservoir Barn Swallow - around a dozen (1 Turtle Pond, the others at the Reservoir) White-breasted Nuthatch - feeders Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 2 or 3 Veery - Ramble Swainson's Thrush - 3 Hermit Thrush - Ramble American Robin - residents, discarded eggshell at Tanner's Spring Gray Catbird - pairs at most locations Brown Thrasher - Summit Rock Cedar Waxwing - flock of at least 6 at Tanner's Spring, a few at Gill Overlook House Finch - male at feeders American Goldfinch - feeding in elms Eastern Towhee - male in the Ramble Swamp Sparrow - Hernshead White-throated Sparrow - 10 Baltimore Oriole - 8 (6 adult males, 2 immature males) Red-winged Blackbird - 4 (3 males, 1 female) Common Grackle - residents Ovenbird - 3 Louisiana Waterthrush - singing at Indian Cave (also seen by Ricki Ravitz bet.
