HUDSONIAN GODWITS were also seen at both of these sites, Jamaica Bay featuring three on the East Pond last Saturday dropping to one by Thursday while at the West End two were noted Monday and three reported Tuesday with two still there Thursday. Three more HUDSONIANS were photographed at Nickerson Beach last Monday. An AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER were among the shorebirds spotted at Heckscher State Park Thursday and still present there today. Three more BUFF-BREASTEDS were on a sod farm south of Sound Avenue and west of Doctor's Path in Riverhead last Saturday.
