BIRD FRIENDLY COFFEE PRESENTED BY LILY MLECZKO
NOVEMBER 19 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Please join our guest speaker, Lily Mleczko, as she discusses her graduate
work surrounding Bird Friendly coffee. Lily will discuss the specifics of
what it takes for farmers to get certified as “Bird Friendly,” why the
certification is so important to conservation, how it benefits our local
bird species and how you can help support the initiative. Lily has studied
birds throughout her career. She obtained her undergraduate degree while
studying Gunnison sage grouse in Colorado, before returning east to finish
her masters in biology from Miami OH focusing on sustainable initiatives
that benefit migratory passerines. She also has an advanced graduate
certificate in conservation biology from Fordham University where she
studied window collisions with NYC Audubon. Lily is now based out of the
Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo. Bird Friendly coffee will
brewed for all those who attend!

This meeting will take place inside the Prospect Park Zoo in the
C-classroom. Please ensure you are on time, doors open at 6:45pm and you
must enter through the service gate* on Flatbush Avenue.


**The service gate is just North of/ next to the Leffert's House and South
of the Main Entrance on Flatbush Avenue, it is not a public entrance.*
