Hi Alex,
I think you are right, there's an issue with the chaining of the
VisibleValidators. I'm still looking into it but the short answer is
this is directly related to the hierarchy level (so if a change is 5
levels deep, you'll see 5 validators chained there) and the short fix
is to fix calls

Hi,
I would not move it to oak-core, it would be (I think) a step in the wrong
direction wrt. the modularization effort.
Re. OAK-7203, I think we should make that specific dependency optional, but
I'm not convinced you won't have another bundle pulling in the composite

Hi,
Minor update, I cleared some of the problems with Julian's help, but I'm

using Suppliers (only avail on java 8) and 1.6 branch is still java 7 as
far as I can see, so I cannot backport those. I actually changed the

I have a running Mongo v3.6.3 in the background which I cannot stop at the

Hi Vivek,
This is normal as you are building benchmark project from the trunk
directly so it will reference SNAPSHOT versions of the rest of the bundles
from oak.
The fix is to run a 'maven install' once on the root of the project, this
will install all the needed dependencies and then you can

I think it's easy to single out OAK-7741 as the source of the issues, when
in fact the question is really about all the classes affected by the

As it stands now, none of them are backportable to 1.8 due to the exact
same issues as OAK-7741: the annotation change will trigger
