How can the ldap service help with on an obm installation? it seems to
work well with the Database only. But i'm pretty sure there is
something interesting with the ldap.

and anoptional integrated LDAP server(openldap).
The process is : the database acts as the master data storage, and a
subset of its data istranslated and loaded into the OBM LDAP server.
