Dengan demikian, total volume penjualan CPO Astra Agro periode Januari-Mei 2009 mencapai 384.052 ton. Angka ini lebih kecil 5,5% dibandingkan dengan penjualan periode yang sama tahun lalu yakni 406.468 ton. Corporate Secretary Astra Agro Santosa mengatakan ebih dari 90% dijual di pasar domestik, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 10% dijual di pasar ekspor. Harga rata-rata penjualan CPO Astra Agro sepanjang lima bulan pertama 2009 turun 25,3% menjadi Rp6.116 per kg dari Rp8.190 kg pada periode yang sama 2008, sedangkan harga kernel turun sebesar 44,8% menjadi Rp2.360 per kg dari Rp4.277 per kg.
