I've been having trouble installing the DICOM toolbox, which fails with the
following error message:
octave:2> pkg install dicom-0.1.1.tar.gz
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libgdcmDSED.a(gdcmReader.cxx.o): relocation
R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared
