I have the symbolic package, but I don't why it doesn't work. there is a
function "sym" in the link that you send that may work like "syms" in
matlab. anyway I'm working on all codes to fit with Octave.

I doubt if it relate to transformations as this function just calculating
minimal Right MFD from the Matrix system and it's still in the frequency
space.
the function has some bug (not invertible DR) for some not square system
matrix so it'll develop if I can. the idea is bas
