I was thinking in removing the function fmin from the optim package.
This is a wrapper for fminbnd (it simply passes all the arguments, in
the same order to fminbdn, does absolutely nothing else). I think this
is more like an alias, the kind of thing that would fit better on a
user's octaverc f

Well, I just followed to the letter the instructions (url below), and these do
not include any "pkg install nan" command, only "rebuild" commands
