[oi-dev] Fixing Virtualbox on recent kernels

2018-09-20 Thread Geoff Nordli

Hi.

From what I know, it looks like vbox is going to need some source
changes in order to have it work on recent kernel versions.

Does anyone know what those changes look like and if they have been
communicated to the vbox team?

thanks,

Geoff

I found out that dtrace is one of my friends.

The culprit seems to be usr/src/lib/pkcs11/pkcs11_tpm/common/apiutil.c
in illumos. Yes, it's an illumos bug that's doing it.

[oi-dev] Rust 1.29

2018-09-20 Thread Aurélien Larcher
Hi,
based on the work by Carsten inspired by the pkgsrc package, then Michal's
modification of my 1.28 recipe, Rust 1.29 was pushed to the repository:

http://pkg.openindiana.org/hipster/info/0/developer%2Flang%2Frustc%401.29.0%2C5.11-2018.0.0.0%3A20180920T025956Z

I tested compilation of a few packages and rust-by-example.

Thanks go to Nikita Baksalyar, Jonathan Perkin, and Solaris engineers for
making Rust on SunOS possible.
Kind regards,

Aurélien
