I have uploaded a screencast. Unfortunately there is more flickering than I am
actually seeing. For me just the content of the PDF become white. In the video
all the windows and the panel flicker, which is

Please check which distributions offer recent versions:
https://okular.kde.org/download.php
If your distribution only offers outdated versions, you can also try flatpak,
snap, or appimage versions:
