If it crashes switching to raster i very much suspect the bug is somewhere in
your X stack

The point is, it *doesn't* crash when switching to raster. Sorry if that

The valgrind output is pretty useless, please get:
a) a valgrind carrying suppressions for glibc 2.12
b) debug symbols for okular and qt, at least
