If so i would ask you to upgrade to KDE 4.3.5 or KDE 4.4.0 since those versions

There is not way to differenciate a broken pdf from a non broken one other than

Well, this pdf takes a while converting to ps (that is needed for printing)
takes 1 minute here in a newish machine, but at the end itworks for me with

cp somefile.pdf a.pdf
okular a.pdf
wait until okular loads the file
rm a.pdf
Does okular close the pdf file after the rm?
