My error. After Comment 8 I consider this sufficiently explained, and after
this amount of time, the matter is probably obsolete.

Interesting, the submit button is not *in* the page but on the chrome of the
Adobe Reader application, someone has to investigate which part of the the
 spec
talks about it and see how to implement it

So it appears; the creator simply told me he had added a Submit button
in whatever application he used to create the doc.

In my ignorance I had assumed the the Show/Hide Forms button (which
appears in the chrome of Okular) would also implement the Submit button.

Thanks for looking at this.

 Created attachment 73523
-- https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=73523action=edit
 The said pdf

Thanks.

Weird: Attachment is not viewable in your browser because its MIME type
(application/octet-stream) is not one that your browser is able to display.

oimelc.ucc.ie is stock Apache2 on stock Ubuntu 12.04. Why it believes a
PDF document is application/octet-stream and not application/pdf is
beyond me, sorry.

[Okular-devel] Random red blocks in thumbnails

2010-06-06 Thread Peter Flynn
I am experiencing a curious artifact in the thumbnail displays when
loading DVI output (anything from simple 1-page docs to an entire thesis).

Apparently random rectangles of the thumbnail are shown in red (see
screenshot at http://silmaril.ie/screenshots/okular-narrow.png). If I go
to fullscreen, some of the rectangles resolve to the thumbnail image,
but not all (http://silmaril.ie/screenshots/okular-fullscreen.png).

This does not occur if I use kdvi instead of okular. I'm using an old
Dell Dimension 4550 running Ubuntu Karmic with the NVIDIA accelerated
graphics driver v96. I don't see anything in the bugs list about this,
but before I submit it, is anyone aware of issues with the driver that
might be the cause? (not that there is anything I can do about it, natch...)

[..] I don't see anything in the bugs list about this,

The bug has been reported, and it was closed by the reporter:
 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172802

Thanks. That might explain why it didn't show in a search for red :-)

If I am not mistaken, Karmic ships KDE SC 4.3.something - can you please try
to update to KDE SC 4.4.x to see if it was fixed?

I'm running Gnome, so I'm using Karmic by virtue of Synaptic having
installed the relevant libraries. I poked Software Sources to see if it
would find anything, but according to them I am fully updated. I'm doing
a test install of Lucid next week on another Dell, so I'll check it out;
after which, the machine on which I get the error will become the
sacrificial test platform so I can break things on it :-)
