[okular] [Bug 486077] Okular window does not activate when opening pdf file from nautilus ("Files" application in Gnome)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486077 fanzhuyi...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |UNMAINTAINED Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED CC||fanzhuyi...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from fanzhuyi...@gmail.com --- Thank you for your bug report! Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), as this version of the KDE software is out of support from KDE, and so it's possible that the bug exists only in Debian at this point. Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream. Thanks for understanding! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350933 branch8...@protonmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||branch8...@protonmail.com --- Comment #1 from branch8...@protonmail.com --- I join this request. It would be great if one could from within the okular program open a new window of the same file. The new window should have a minimal loading time. This is best achieved if the document page, which is opened in window 1, is loaded as the starting page of window 2. Afterwards one can open a different page in window 2. Currently it is possible to have the same document opened in two windows if one does open it a second time from the file. But okular seems to open and load the document completely anew for the second window. This makes the procedure slow. Also, it would give a better workflow, if one could open the new window from within the okular program. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[okular] [Bug 339971] Detach Tabs / Combine multiple windows in tabs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339971 benedikt.kepp...@gmx.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||benedikt.kepp...@gmx.de --- Comment #15 from benedikt.kepp...@gmx.de --- Since this issue is now open for quite a long time, and the QT issue even longer without any hope, I think it would be appropriate to develop the detach feature inside okular instead of waiting another decade... I pulled the repo and was able to implement a rightclick feature with close/detach tab in a half an hour, so it is definitely not complicated. Although I must say, that I am not familiar with the okular source code, so my code is not at all good. Nevertheless, if a merge request for this feature would be opened, I would definitely give my best to help to develop a good solution! Using okular VERY regular on a dual monitor setup, i can say it is extremely annoying to manually open new instances of okular and searching for pdfs again and again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483204 --- Comment #5 from ree...@gmail.com --- This looks like a duplicate of my bug, but I don't have force DPI checked in system settings. [okular] [Bug 480260] New: Okular has problems displaying check boxes in lists and tables
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480260 Bug ID: 480260 Summary: Okular has problems displaying check boxes in lists and tables Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 23.08.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: markdown backend Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org Reporter: tnem...@free.fr Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 165181 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=165181=edit Okular output of the bullet list with checkboxes and tables. SUMMARY A great change has been made in checkboxes support in MarkDown has been made in Okular. There are, however still some issues with checkboxes in lists. When there is a text bloc in the list element the text of the checkbox is displayed below the checkbox. While checkboxes are 1 thing, there is also the fact that tables could have borders :) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a markdown file as follows: ``` - [ ] 058 : reprogrammation atelier | PRS | Description | SRS Straton | | --: | :-- | :-- | | 034 | support atelier | 207 176 221 | | 038 | langage | 207 | | 039 | programmation| 211 212 221 | | 044 | Code TIC + src | 207 | | 051 | monitor prog | 176 221 | | 052 | programmation| 211 212 221 | | 063 | reprog par Eth | 212 221 | - [ ] 059 : récupération des versions softs | PRS | Description | SRS Straton | | --: | :-- | :-- | | 033 | langage, (038 = wtf) | 207 > 059/205 | - [ ] 060 : start appli si non PRM | PRS | Description | SRS Straton | | --: | :-- | :-- | | 043 | execution programme en TIC | 207 | - [ ] 061 : stop sur reboot à chaud | PRS | Description | SRS Straton | | --: | :-- | :-- | | 143 | stop après reboot| 174 | | 144 | LED WDG | SRS ACS ok | ``` 2. Have a look at the output (cf attachment). OBSERVED RESULT The text of the checkbox is below the checkbox because there is a table (or sometimes other text) in the bullet list element bloc. EXPECTED RESULT The text of the checkbox should have been next to the checkbox. A plus would be that tables have borders for better understanding of tables columns and lines (an option in the markdown support plugin ?). I managed to build the newest version from source myself (24.07.70) and with that version the problem was not there. I followed a wiki entry for building KDE connect on Windows using Visual Studio and craft without modifying any settings or source code. (https://community.kde.org/KDEConnect/Build_Windows) I also build it with QT6, whereas the other versions used QT5. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477667 Bug ID: 477667 Summary: Okular fails to preset text fields properly with Helvetica Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 23.08.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org Reporter: sten.westerb...@capgemini.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 163563 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=163563=edit Demo pdf with several fonts STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make, using Adobe Acrobat, a form with some text fields defined to show text in default font Helvetica 2. Type in åäö € in the field 3. Switch to view mode OBSERVED RESULT It shows the bytes of the utf-16 as individual characters... EXPECTED RESULT I would expect it to show what i typed. Acrobat is able to show properly all the time. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 11 KDE Plasma Version: ??? KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Poppler 23.09.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On my computer Okular shows OK with Arial as font (matching that of non-field text), but our customer see it too failing. I just sent them "Times Roman" variant now as that seems to work as well for me. But it would be great if your tool would be well tested with all non-ASCII charcters. It's my understanding that pre-2.0 pdf is either "local codepage" or UTF-16, with UTF-8 introduced in pdf 2.0 . But you don't seem to support pdf 2.0 anyways. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[okular] [Bug 477500] Crash when opening DJVU from a folder that contains Cyrillic "i" in the name.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477500 --- Comment #5 from octopus2...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #4) > I've successfully opened a file balled bє.dvju inside a folder called testє My system language is Japanese. I tried from another computer where the system language is Ukrainian, it opens successfully there. But on a computer with a Japanese system language, crash when opening a file balled bє.djvu inside a folder called testє. PDF file does not have this problem. > No idea how to further debug this at this point :/ I don't think many people with a Japanese language system will use folders with Cyrillic in the name, so this is not a common problem. I will solve this problem by renaming the folders. Thank you. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
