Re: [onap-discuss] ONAP TSC measures of success

2017-09-14 Thread Alla Goldner
Hi all,

I agree with the defined below, perhaps we should introduce additional
contribution measures, on top of number of Git commits e.g. number of
affected/new files, number of code lines etc.

Just my 2 cents :)

Hi Mike,

MSB and kube2msb registrator have been added to the OOM oneclick script,

Now if we use oneclick script to deploy ONAP, MSB will be deployed first and
kube2msb registrator can registered all the service endpoints to MSB.

[onap-discuss] 答复: Re: [sdc] About underlayvpn.yml

2017-09-14 Thread huang.zhuoyao
Hi david,

For a general purpose, 2 underlay vpns might be possible to connect to
each other, for example, 2 l2 underlay vpn connected together by UNI (User
Network Interface). And further more, if we figure out the overlay vpn, which
is also vl, the overlay vpn might connect to the underlay vpn.

Thank you and best regards!

Quick question about the model before we adding it as a resource to the catalog.

According to current model, it is possible to connect the underlayvpn node to
either a port/CP or another network/VL. Is that the desired behavior?

Hi,

There are two options the first option is to include the underlayvpn with SDC
distribution. The second option is to import it into SDC at design time.

If the underlayvpn is a reusable resource, meaning it would be used for other
services, then option 1 is the way forward. If it is VoLTE only, then I
recommend option 2.

@Michael – If option 1 is selected, we need to include the underlayvpn in the
catalog.

Thanks,

David

[onap-discuss] "permission denied" for accessing referenced documents by Document project demo

2017-09-14 Thread JI, LUSHENG (LUSHENG)
Greg,

Sorry I could not attend your demo due to schedule conflict. And today I
finally got the chance to view the video. Thanks for the effort.

When I was trying to access the pages referenced from your project wiki page,
M4 template, and recorded demo. But I get “Permission Denied You don't have
the proper permissions to view this page. Please contact the owner of this
project to request permission.” on ALL of them. I registered an account on
readdocs, that did not help either.

Any suggestions on how to actually see these documents?

Thanks,

[onap-discuss] Release Update Information

2017-09-14 Thread Gildas Lanilis
Hi PTLs,

Following up on TSC meeting today.

2 important points to highlight:

1. MSSQL database: this was a lingering question. Phil Robb clarified
the point that we CANNOT embed MSSQL database within ONAP. (see meeting minutes
point
#4).
Alternatives such as MariaDB and Postgres SLQ are acceptable.

2. M4 Code Freeze: the checklist has been recently updated and is
available in
wiki.
For the teams who copied earlier the template, I would strongly recommend to
take the latest. We will review the deliverables while meeting in Paris on Sept
28.

Let me know if you have any questions

[onap-discuss] integration] RE: CSIT env needs for DCAE

2017-09-14 Thread Gary Wu
Hi Chinnappa,

The LF CSIT environment does not allow direct access to any OpenStack
infrastructure. You're pretty much limited to spinning up docker containers
within a single VM, but the VM memory size can be pretty large. Would this
work for you?

My recommendation for is to limit the CSIT test flows to the ones that can work
within the above constraints (e.g. spinning up a few specific docker containers
and test the APIs/interactions between them). Anything that needs deployment
capabilities via Heat or OpenStack should be done on the E2E infrastructure in
the Open Labs.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary,

DCAE project has different env needs compared to other ONAP projects. Need to
understand how we can do this in CSIT env. Most important requirement is that
DCAE env needs a tenant for the Open DCAE to work.

Lusheng from DCAE team would be able to tell us more on the env needs. I can
schedule a meeting to talk through this. Let me know your availability.

Hi Varun,

Attached is the Dockerfile we used to build the kafka docker. Please download
kafka_2.9.2-0.8.1.1.tgz manually into the docker-compose directory and copy the
Dockerfile into this directory as well.

I'm not sure whether it is the problem of the kafka binary package we
downloaded from the apache website. I've tried to download it again. The same
error occurred over and over when I try to start it. If the docker you build
using the Dockerfile attached works, I believe there must be something wrong in
the MsgRtrApis.properties file. If so, I suggest you send the configuration
file back to me in order that I could compare with that which is on my local
machine.

Thanks in advance.

Guangrong

Brian,

When you say “I put the networks (CPE_PUBLIC and CPE_SIGNAL) into the same

create a new service that uses the VNF component Heat templates plus an
existing network service?

Just a quick update.

I put the networks (CPE_PUBLIC and CPE_SIGNAL) into the same service with the
VNF and distributed via SDN.

On VID , after service instantiate there were appropriately 2 buttons . One for
“Add Network” (drop downs for CPE_PUBLIC and CPE_SIGNAL) and an “Add VN”F
Module. This would be the reminder to create network before VF since you cant
add a VF until the Add VNF is done. Again VNF-API was triggered on Add Network
(applied integration work around for the mso-sdnc-properties to point sdncurl6
for VNF-API) but didnt succeed (actually due to a problem on SDNC with 1.1.2
vs 1.1.2-SNAPSHOT dependencies).

[onap-discuss] [aai] Special session to work dev issues for A, ESR, VF-C teams

2017-09-14 Thread Murali p
Jimmy/Arul,

We had a session of usage of AAI-UI. Do you have the recording of the meeting?
Can you please share the link?
Can you please post some learning material about AAI-UI?

Doubts:

1. Whether the AAI-UI is generic? We can use this to view the Titan graph
inside SDC also ?

2. Are there any generic tools to view the Titan database graphs?

With regards,
Murali

Hi,
The meeting got ended in the middle and I could no longer connect to that. I
was trying to do a small demo of AAI-UI and it was interrupted. For anyone who

[onap-discuss] 答复: VNF instantiation sequence

2017-09-14 Thread zhang.maopeng1
hello yangxu

In the VoLTE case, I don't receive the requirements from the VNF vendor
that one vnf depends on the others.

So in the R1, VoLTE case do not need todefine the VNF sequence. In the
futrue, we can cooperate with SDC team to do it if needed.

We have tried to support the VNF instantiation parallel in R1. Because the
time is limited, we put it as an strecth goal.

主 题 :[onap-discuss] VNF instantiation sequence

Hi Yang Yan,

We are working on vEPC and vIMS network service design. Two questions came up:

a. Do we need to define VNF instantiation sequence in SDC?

b. If no VNF sequence is defined, does/can VFC instantiate VNFs in
parallel?

[onap-discuss] [so] SO Seed Code Question

2017-09-14 Thread Manoj K Nair
Hi John/Rob,

We have gone through the seed code deep dive presentation you delivered
here . We further
studied/reviewed the SO code based on the walkthrough and noted
CreateGenericALaCarteServiceInstance.bpmn
(here)
 .

If we are not wrong there used to be a CreateGenericMacroServiceNetworkVnf.bpmn
as well few days back in the same location with decomposition call activity (we
are not able to trace Decomposition groovy script, though we are assuming that
Json input from Service Recipe will be mapped to ServiceDecomposition object,
which will be stored in workflow execution memory).

Can you please clarify the following.

* The difference between CreateGenericALaCarteServiceInstance.bpmn and
CreateGenericMacroServiceNetworkVnf.bpmn in terms of use case. Is it planned
to use CreateGenericALaCarteServiceInstance.bpmn for both VoLTE and vCPE use
cases ? We believe there are few more bpmn flows planned to be integrated with
API handler for workflow branching mentioned
here.

* As per the SO internal flow
here,
can you please clarify what is the criteria and selection logic that will be
incorporated for delegating the service creation logic to a domain orchestrator
(say VF-C) . In this case, can you please let us know what kind of
decomposition be handled at SO ? (Assuming SO is handling E2E Service and
Domain Orchestrator is handling NS)

* Can you please clarify what is the criteria maintained for selection
of the Domain Orchestrator (say a particular instance of VF-C for one Network
as a Service admin domain, and different VF-C instance for another Network as a
service admin domain) in case there are multiple domain orchestrators exist
catering to different DCs and the E2E service can span several of such domains?

* How is state retained from any issue with workflow execution - We
noted recovery workflows for this purpose - but would like to know how this
recovery can be achieved in a distributed workflow execution (involving VF-C) ?
Thanks

Manoj
