I am vewing the templates in the OOo site, got a question about this? Should we go HTML5?
It wouldn't impact so much on it, just add some of the new tags like <nav>, <article>, <header> etc. These markups are backward compatible in the sense that it wont bother other browsers and mere structured tags.
