Hi there, still flooded with end-of-semester related tasks for a few more days, hence still in "land-under-water" mode.
However, there are two students who are interested in investigating and creating a proof-of-concept for a portable ooRexx GUI development environment. In order for them to really go for the development part, it is mandatory to have a debug API in the ooRexx kernel that allows for setting break-points, watch-variables/attributes, stepping-in/over/out of method/function/routine-invocations etc.. As the missing of an ooRexx GUI development environment is one of the paramount omissions for newcomers who are used to the GUI development environments of other languages, I would like them to experience/test/tackle such a project. [They will be investigating the Eclipse-based projects in the ooRexx incubator and sandbox.] Are there any plans in the near future to add (at least experimental) debug APIs (and maybe also profiling APIs in that context) to the language? ---rony ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?
