Just noticed that a new beta drop for Linux is available at sourceforge (cf. <https://sourceforge.net/projects/oorexx/files/oorexx/5.0.0beta/>) as "ooRexx-5.0.0-0.ubuntu1604.x86_64.deb".
However, when installing on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS the package manager states "The package is of bad quality" and refuses to install it! The details (by Lintian) given indicate pointers to Jenkins reminiscents. Forcing an install yields a working installation of ooRexx 5.0beta! One more note: the links to version 4 are missing (e.g. /usr/lib/librexx.so.4 -> /usr/lib/librexx.so), whereas all the others get created now! ---rony ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Oorexx-devel mailing list Oorexx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oorexx-devel
