I'm installing 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 and have these notes: In the general 7.04 instructions, the latest version of libjs is now 1.7.0, and it unpacks into a directory called js (not libjs). It seems to work just fine, though.
In http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=installing_evergreen_1.2.x_on_ubuntu_7.04, the reference to Evergreen-ILS-1.2.0-rc1/ should be changed to Evergreen-ILS-1.2.0/. Also, in "New Step #20", if OpenSRF-0.9 should be built and/or installed before building Evergreen, that should be explicitly stated in these install docs. While installing OpenSRF, sudo make install returns (in part): "Warning! dlname not found in /usr/lib/apache2/modules/osrf_json_gateway.so. Assuming installing a .so rather than a libtool archive." If this is not a real problem, let's say so (and call it a cosmetic bug in install). After running make config in Evergreen-ILS-1.2.0/, there's a rather stark warning that you must create the evergreen database before running "make install". If you've already done step #19 in the generic ubuntu-7.04 directions, you will already have done so ("sudo createdb -W -U evergreen -E UTF8 evergreen"). In that case, you may ignore that warning. (Possible TODO: can we try to connect to the database and display the warning only when it's applicable?) In our configuration, we did not get any warnings about arguments which differ in signedness. If I have any more updates, I'll send them along. Regards, Ben -- "Don't get suckered in by the comments; they can be terribly misleading. Debug only code." -- Dave Storer
