Even what Dan describes is more functionality than I've ever seen with Homebound designations. In my experience, it's just a longer loan period and usually a few notes on the patron record about reading preferences and a list of people who are allowed to check books out on the homebound

I dont know how it is setup with your particular vendor, but you can get the link to search by ISBN in a library by doing an advanced ISBN search (restricted to a library) and copying that address. For example, here is a search by ISBN in one of our libraries:

That's what I suspected. In this situation, the serials stuff isn't doing anything more than dumping the existing text strings that describe your holdings. That code has changed a lot since I last poked at it, but I suspect that changing the way text holdings records are displayed so that they're
