Hi Michael and all,

Although we are only in the testing phase I have discovered when uploading
records using the Acquisitions Load MARC Order Records that default barcode
prefix and call numbers are applied to copies when the line item is ordered.
So the purchase order has to be activated before those defaults are applied. I
can't say if Vandelay's catalog interface would operate any differently since
we haven't gone that route yet. but this may be a clue for you. We are on 2.5.1

Hi Michael,

We don't create the on-order items during a load in this way, so I'm not
sure how helpful I can be. But one question occurs to me: is there anything
in the MARC record you are loading that indicates how many copies were
ordered? I know when manually working with a selection list or PO, the
defaults we set don't kick in until a lineitem copy is established.

I hope you hear from others with good advice.

Mary
