We're working on getting an Evergreen demo up and running and trying to figure
out how much staff time and energy will be required.
Can someone tell me how a demo is typically populated with data? Do most
libraries pull some of their own records, or is it more common to use dummy
records?

Some of the existing community demo servers have a set of data that you can
use. In the case of the ones maintained by Brian Feifarek, that data is
refreshed 2x per week (I think). However, we have set up instances
specifically for libraries to use on occasion. That way you can either
