If you're driving, be aware that the parking garage for the hotel is
*before* the entrance. If you go past it, you might have to go a long way
to get back around.

Anyone on Evergreen have a PC reservation system for the public they would
recommend or recommend against? It should have print management software too
and we would prefer it to run with Windows PCs.

If they say it
We have several libraries running CASSIE ( http :// www . librarica .com) which
does PC reservations, print management, etc. It also does a fairly good job of
tracking user statistics ( ie : wait time, average session length, etc).
The biggest issue that we have run into is if you are running
Fontana Regional Library uses the Envisionware product called PC

We also use CASSIE and haven't had any issues with it. We haven't tried their
wireless service yet (SPOT). Right now we don't allow direct wireless printing.
The price for CASSIE is very reasonable for a smaller or more cash-strapped
library, and the interface is really simple for staff.
Libki is a nice
option. It's open source and you can roll your own installation
(http://libki.org/) or get it from a vendor
(http://bywatersolutions.com/what-is-libki/).
Papercut is an easy-to-use, very inexpensive print management
Our library has run Cybrarian (barely has features, continued to bill us two
years after we quit using it) then we moved to Envisionware, which I LOVED.
At some point last year during an upgrade, our IT staff declared it unusable
and refused to continue using it. I was very sad. I
I can give a plus 1 to what Buzzy said about Libki and papercut. We are
currently using libki and a home grown solution built on top of CUPS. I
have played with papercut and plan to migrate us to that at some point.
I would recommend both to anyone looking to make a change.
The one caution
Out of courisity, what features does Envisionware have that CASSIE doesn't?
If its something that our libraries could use I might ask them for it from our
end as well :D
