[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] First beta release of Evergreen 3.0 available for testing

2017-09-06 Thread Galen Charlton
Hi,

The first beta release of Evergreen 3.0 is now available. For the full
release announcement, please visit

https://evergreen-ils.org/evergreen-3-0-first-beta-release-available/

At this time, I would like to ask all Evergreen users and admins in a
position to test the beta release to do so. Evergreen 3.0 is an
ambitious release; the more bugs we can squash this month, the
smoother the general release in early October will be.

Many hands have contributed to the development of Evergreen 3.0, but
for the purpose of this beta release milestone, I would like to
specifically acknowledge the efforts of buildmasters Dan Wells and
Blake Henderson, who built the beta tarball this evening.

Regards,

Galen

Hi Jane,

here are some ideas from the Czech Republic:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1zkCbzCkqdNItb77rjOyTyikhA2agZXIkeVAd2bFJXMQ/edit?usp=sharing
Not much of styling, mostly just changing the colors according to the
graphic style of particular library

Jane,

Here are some ideas:

marion.missourievergreen.org
poplarbluff.missourievergreen.org
polk.missourievergreen.org
stone.missourievergreen.org

For the most part they are stock with some tt2 files overloaded.

We're looking to start a project to improve the styling of our OPAC.
As we start this project, I'd love to see some examples of OPAC customizations

Hello everyone,

Our next community-wide Bug Squashing Week is scheduled for *Monday,
September 11 through Friday, September 15*

(Don't worry, you don't need to set aside the entire week to participate -
you can participate however much that you can fit into your schedule.)

You may participate in Bug Squashing Day by:

- Submitting new bug fixes for reported bugs
- Testing bug fixes that others have submitted (these should have the
"pullrequest" tag)
- Confirming bug reports that haven't been reviewed yet (this is a great
way to participate if you're not a coder!)
- Pushing bug fixes into Evergreen (for core committers)
- Assisting with documentation updates

Bug Squashing Day Info and Guidelines:

If you would like to request a sandbox to test bug fixes on please fill out
the this form by Wednesday, September 6
