[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Distribution removal of conference attendee list

2014-04-15 Thread Ben Hyman
Hi all,

Late last week, a list of Evergreen 2014 conference attendees was shared on
this listserv. The document's footers, developed by Software Freedom
Conservancy, indicated that the list was not to be published online. Therefore,
on Friday, the message and attached document were scrubbed from the listserv
itself, and removal requests were made to the Markmail and GMane archives.
Additionally, Software Freedom Conservancy was advised.

While immediate steps were taken, we are unfortunately unable to confirm that
our removal requests will be acted on.
Recognizing that the sharing of the document was intended as a helpful gesture
in response to an information request, nonetheless, this serves as a reminder
to be vigilant in the use of open listservs like this one - and particularly
when information about persons is involved.

With thanks to Ben Shum, Chris Sharp and Kathy Lussier for their quick and
comprehensive actions.
Best,

Ben Hyman

My sincere apologies. I should have looked much more closely at the entire
document before sending it. It won't happen again.

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Spine and pocket label printers

2014-04-15 Thread Marcia Ledin
Is anyone printing pocket labels and spine labels simultaneously? Where are
you getting your printers and labels? Our Oki Microline Pin Printer is on its
last legs.
