Jane,

You should be able to enable nullability, start with the In-house Use
source, and select a "parent nullable" (right join) link to items.
Does that work for you?

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports including in-house use

2016-05-18 Thread Jane Sandberg
Hi colleagues,

I am trying to create a report in the reporter that lists all items
and how many in-house uses they have.

* I can use In-house Use as my initial source, but then I don't get
any items with 0 in-house uses.
* I can use Item as my initial source, but it doesn't seem to be
linked to the In-house use table for reporter purposes.

I was thinking of filing a launchpad bug that a link to in-house use
is missing from the item source. However, I want to make sure that I
am not missing something!

Thanks!

  -Jane

Susan and others,

Thanks for the feedback, I wished I had know beforehand that I picked a session
on a Canadian holiday.

What led me to pick that day, just so you know my thinking, was to pick a date
that had the most votes on the free Doodle(.com) poll I included in my previous
emails. Out of the six respondents that was the one date that the six could
make it.

If there is interest I can hold a 3rd IRC practice session. I would again use a
Doodle poll to try to determine the best time to hold the next practice
session. Remember you only need a valid email address to fill out a Dodle.com
poll.

Hope this helps,
Yamil

Hello,

At the 2016 Evergreen conference I gave a lightning talk
presentation on how easy is to get started with using the Evergreen
IRC channel. Which is used by the community to collaborate and answer each
other's questions.

Here is a longer version of the presentation with more information…

http://goo.gl/w3zml2

In this presentation I postulate that if you…

1) have ever sent a text message

2) have a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)

… you can pull off giving IRC a try for yourself.

This will be an hour long session for newcomers to practice using IRC
to be held on Monday, May 23 @ 11AM EST. This will be a designated
practice time, so no one feels like they are interrupting others.

Thanks in advance,
Yamil
