We use Google Hangouts, if you're Google users. It's really easy to
screenshare if necessary--I use it all the time for troubleshooting--even
if the user on the other end doesn't also use Google. And I also like the
chat feature, which can show up either in your Gmail window or you can also
run it in a separate tab (https://hangouts.google.com/).

As a library we've been using Blogger for internal communication. Other
groups I've belonged to have used Trello, slack, and even Discord.
Other Apps that have been helpful for other functions include todoist and
evernote.

Hi Jordan,

If your library has Microsoft 365, there is “Microsoft Teams” that is a private
instant message chatting program. We use it in my library system.

Hello all,

Our consortium is looking for chat/IM platform to help facilitate smoother
communication when troubleshooting various tech problems we face. Email is nice
but it has its limitations.

I am curious if anyone one else is using one of the various platforms out there
and the "why" for choosing it.

Thanks,
Jordan
