I've got an EMC AX-4 SAN. With authentication disabled on the SAN I can connect and mount a volume. However, if I enable CHAP authentication I can't get anything to work.
I have Open-iSCSI 6.2.0.865 (CentOS 5) Every example, etc... indicates I should get some kind of session id / record id from "iscsiadm -m node", a value in square brackets. But I don't, I get - [EMAIL PROTECTED] iscsi]# iscsiadm -m node 172.31.2.10:3260,2 iqn.1992-04.com.emc:cx.sl7e2074800114.a1 172.31.1.11:3260,1 iqn.1992-04.com.emc:cx.sl7e2074800114.b0 172.31.1.10:3260,4 iqn.1992-04.com.emc:cx.sl7e2074800114.a0 172.31.2.11:3260,3 iqn.1992-04.com.emc:cx.sl7e2074800114.b1 [EMAIL PROTECTED] iscsi]# iscsiadm -m discovery 172.31.2.10:3260 via sendtargets Attempts to login result in - [EMAIL PROTECTED] iscsi]# iscsiadm -m node -l Login session [iface: default, target: iqn. 1992-04.com.emc:cx.sl7e2074800114.a1, portal: 172.31.2.10,3260] iscsiadm: initiator reported error (5 - encountered iSCSI login failure) iscsiadm: Could not execute operation on all records. Err 107. Unfortunately the EMC SAN doesn't seem to have anything to say about it (no log messages, etc...) Also very little documentation, etc... seems to deal with authentication. I setup authentication like - iscsiadm -m node -o update -n node.conn[0].startup -v automatic iscsiadm -m node -o update -n node.session.auth.username -v fob-green iscsiadm -m node -o update -n node.session.auth.password -v jkfhlakshdbhj iscsiadm -m node -o update -n node.session.auth.authmethod -v CHAP --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "open-iscsi" group.
