There is a bug with the kernel modules that come with 2.6.24. If you use the iscsi modules in the open-iscsi.org tarball then that is fixed. The problem for you would be that the newer tools on open-iscsi.org will probably not work right with the bnx2i code you have. > > (And I was hoping to void using a non-distry kernel, for easier > maintenance, especially as the box will be a xen virtualisation server.) > > (On the bright side, IO throughput with pure sofware open-iscsi is a > lot higher than our older SCSI AtaBoy II boxes could deliver :)) > >> bnx2i is not in the upstream kernel so the support in the distro tools >> and open-iscsi.org tools may not be complete. bnx2i is changing its >> driver and firmware so the tools support is on hold until broadcom is >> done with those changes. > > > I see. I cannot help much here. You can search the archives for some broadcom guys and bug them :) I know they are working to try and finish things up and get the driver upstream so everything should be intergrated properly soon. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "open-iscsi" group.
