Job Description

*Position Description:*

This associate will be responsible for monitoring and resolving all
Research Enterprise Enablement requests encompassing all major Research
Enterprise Enablement service lines which include several internal R&D
created Java applications. This associate will also assist teammates with 3
rd level support tickets, be assigned to take lead on one or more service
lines and take an active role in assisting with projects to meet assigned
deadlines. He or she will be working closely with the Research Enterprise
Enablement Developers to help install/update new or existing technologies
and ensure release to production standards are followed under the
mentorship of more senior teammates.

Infra, Jira, additional troubleshooting tools



*Essential Job Functions:*

·           Maintain daytime support for the REE Team

·           Partner closely with the Kroger Support Center to identify
improvement areas

·           Participate in the design and implementation of large and/or
architecturally significant applications.

·           Champion company standards and best practices.  Work to
continuously improve software delivery processes and practices.

·           Build partnerships across the application, business and
infrastructure teams.

·           Develop programming specifications.  Design, code and unit test
application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best
practices.

·           Complete estimates and work plans independently as appropriate
for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks.

·           Create technical system documentation and ensure that this
documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC.

·           Participate in all phases of system testing.

·           Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that
assignments are managed appropriately and that completed assignments are of
the highest quality.

·           Must be able to perform the essential functions of this
position with or without reasonable accommodation.



*Requirements:*

The ideal candidate needs to possess:


   - 2 years minimum experience in application support
   - Proven ability to troubleshoot support issues with minimal guidance
   - Proven process improvement abilities
   - Can communicate effectively with all levels of management and business


   - Ability to interact well in a team environment
   - A solid understanding and appreciation for SDLC tools, processes, and
   Agile Methodologies
   - AS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.



*Bonus Skills:*

·         Basic entry level experience with Java, J2EE, SQL, JSF, Stripes,
Struts, Hibernate, JPA, Spring, Acegi Security, JBoss, Websphere, DB2,
Informix, Linux, Eclipse, Ant, Maven, JDBC, JUnit, Eclipse desired.

·         Yellow Belt Certified
