The team will modify an existing functional mode of HW and support another team validate functional equivalence between the SW model and RTL. This model will be distributed as part of an SDK to develop embedded FW. The model must run efficiently and be thoroughly validated since it will be distributed to thousands of customers. The team member doing this part of the work will be a strong C/C++ software engineer with at least 5 years of experience developing commercial quality HW emulation/simulation software. Candidate must have experience releasing commercial quality software to hundreds or thousands of users. The team member should be able to read Verilog, must be able to start from loosely defined specifications and create documentation for the simulator and test plan. Candidate for this position must have experience writing unit tests and using test frameworks such as cunit, junit, nunit or the like. Candidate must have experience with automated regression testing, release and configuration management. Experience working in pre-silicon emulation/simulation environments and working for EDA companies such as Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor, are desired. Prior experience developing SW models of HW highly desired. The team will also implement the drivers of the device driver API that abstract the HW implementation and exposes the desired functionality. The team member working on the drivers will also write sample embedded code that calls the API (drivers) to showcase use cases for the HW IP. This team member must have at least 5 years of experience developing driver, embedded FW or BIOS development. Finally, both candidates must have experience working in a geo-dispersed, fast-paced development environment. We are looking for candidates with a background (Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with the majority of their day to day activities writing high quality code.
