Job Title: Data Modeler Duration: 6+ months Location: Richmond, VA Job description: Data Modeler is responsible for all aspects of developing/maintaining the logical/physical data model for various platforms including Web services and Operational Systems. The Data Modeler works closely with business partners, BA's, and Developers. The resource would also be responsible to facilitate JAD sessions to determine data rules, and holds LDM and PDM Reviews with Data SMEs. Applies Data Naming Standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository, and documents data model translation decisions. Includes use of data profiling tools and techniques, and development of review and QA data requirements. • Provide data modeling solutions and support for designing web services while adhering to SOA. • Must have experience and knowledge in SOA / Web services design, analysis, and XML • Extensive Experience working with a Data Modeling Case Tool preferably with Erwin • In-depth knowledge of Erwin Modelmart and ability to maintain and manage the model versions. • Expertise reverse-engineering vendor off the shelf product databases in Erwin • Expert level knowledge of Relational database design • 3-5 years prior data analyst experience preferred • Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale, multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise • Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. • Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels • Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges • Demonstrated experience to influence and coordinate third parties and suppliers preffered • 5+ years experience with Financial Services clients preferred Please send your updated Resume to j...@mapleresource.net
