F2F is Must. * *Job Title: Data Quality Engineer (QC Engineer)* *Location: Reston, VA* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Client: Our Direct Client Requirement* Ø *The Data Quality Engineer (DQE) will be responsible for implementing quality control capability across the internal Client organizations, vendors, and critical processes in support of Operations service delivery. * Ø *The DQE will be specifically focused on the design and implementation of quality control in support of the AP Capstone project, serving as POC for technical quality issues and performing ongoing, independent quality checks to ensure data and process integrity. * Ø *The DQE will work closely with Client business process owners, Client data content owners, external operations vendors and Client IT staff to ensure that appropriate data quality controls are developed, executed, and maintained. * *Responsibilities: * Ø *Provide data quality integrity expertise related to the AP Capstone project, building in-process quality control steps. * Ø *Design independent Operations quality control checks for ongoing production. * Ø *Automate the recommended quality controls. Conduct the quality control activity. * Ø *Coordinate with OAT testing activity. * Ø *Provide hands-on support for containment activities. * Ø *Conduct data analysis and metrics reporting. * Ø *Develop and maintain the procedures needed to manage and to support successful Client service delivery including managing normal business-as-usual operations for data flows as well as ensuring that exception conditions, alternate flows, and unusual circumstances have appropriate quality measures in place to ensure error free processing. * Ø *Work with necessary technical support teams and business process owners for investigation and resolution of production quality control failures that affect operations service delivery. * Ø *Establish quality goals and success criteria for QC operational activities. * Ø *Assist teams to resolve complex risks and any related project or production issues. * Ø *Coordinate and maintain the production QC schedule. * Ø *Responsible to meet QC productivity and quality goals for all deliverables and projects. * Ø *Serve as representative to the IT development organization for development efforts related to vendor data flows and operational data quality. * Ø *This role involves working with business process owners, vendors, and IT staff to ensure that data quality requirements are well understood and documented including field level business definitions for data in operational databases, requirements and business rules for data validation, requirements for data retention, and business continuity. * Ø *Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, and other leaders on risks and mitigation plans for projects and existing systems. * Ø *Other duties as assigned. Experience working with IT database administrators, development teams, and infrastructure support organizations in support of production operations. * Ø *Demonstrated ability to perform both routine daily tasks and highly skilled analysis. * Ø *Experience in implementing quality controls and supporting processes for all aspects of the technical and operational architecture for complex enterprise systems. * Ø *Additional Requirements Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving ability.* Ø *Ability to effectively communicate complex issues in writing and orally at appropriate levels of detail for executive audiences, business stakeholders and technical teams.* Ø *Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and various requirements.* Ø *Solid organizational, time & task management skills.* Ø *Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously.* Ø *Ability to work closely with highly-technical IT database, development and infrastructure staff, including high degree of comfort with IT artifacts and terminology (e.g. E-R diagrams, data dictionaries, interface specifications, use cases).* Ø *Strong computer literacy, with focus on databases, but also including Microsoft Office applications. * Ø *Ability to write SQL queries to validate database tables. * Ø *B.S.
