SCOPE OF SERVICES: 

 

ECTP Edge Portal Infrastructure Coordinator

The Edge Portal technology Infrastructure Coordinator will be responsible for 
executing technical discovery, design, and deployment deliverables for the 
designated systems for Edge Portal.  This will include conducting deep dive 
assessments and documentation of technical requirements, architecture designs, 
and configuration request forms.  The Infrastructure Coordinator will work 
closely with service owner teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient 
provisioning 
of seamless integration of data regardless of source (Server, Storage, Network, 
Database, Service Desk) to align with DoITT’s requirements.  The Infrastructure 
Coordinator will also cover all aspects of system implementation and 
integration 
with an enterprise IT production environment and participate in DOITT 
requirements 
gathering sessions, meetings, workshops and calls. Additional responsibilities 
include:


• Creating data-driven dashboards that combine and tailor information for 
specific 
audiences to achieve shared situational (event) awareness of end-to-end 
operations.
• Installing and configure Edge Technology AppBoard and Edge enPortal products
• Displaying targeted information securely among stakeholders. 
• Rapidly integrating new information and tools to emerging events.
• Creating Logical design that highlights data flows, security requirements 
and process flow.
• Creating Physical design that highlights required infrastructure components.
• Installing and configuring of the Dashboard tool’s in the production 
environment.and 
Integrating and deploying services for the dashboard tools and data sources.

 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


• At least 8 years of experience as portal developer
• Full knowledge of BMC Remedy ITSM suite. 
• Knowledge of ITIL best Practices frameworks.
• Expert understanding of Edge AppBoard and Edge en Portal. 
• Knowledgeable in integration methods;
• Ability to work independently without intensive oversight - must be able 
to take initiative on a regular basis finding ways to avoid problems 
proactively.  
This includes: workflow definition, release upgrade skills, form and field 
definition skills, GUI definition and design, and understanding of user 
interaction. 
• 3+ years of experience being responsible for executing technical design, 
and deployment for the Edge Technologies Portal
• 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of the Edge AppBoard and Edge enPortal 
products;
•  5+ years of experience in the following: 


•  web application coding and web designing using one or more of the following: 
HTML5, Flash,  XML, JavaScript,
• Previous system administration or design experience with Microsoft SQL, SQL 
queries, joins and lookups
• Experience working with VMware and an understanding of other virtualization 
technologies;

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


• ITIL v2/v3 Certification;
• Experience in working for a large municipal government preferably NYC or 
public safety organization;
• Strong technical writing skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to interface 
with executive level management and give senior level presentations. 
• Experience with PERL, and UNIX Shell Scripting
• Experience working with discovery tools such as BMC ADDM,
• Familiarity with BMC Remedy and the Remedy Gateway, BMC Atrium CMDB data 
model and asset classifications.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management disciplines such as Change Management, 
Asset Management, Incident and Problem Management, SLA Management, 
Configuration 
and Release Management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as IBM Netcool and Quest NetIQ
• Experience with installation of business service views and integrations with  
Tivoli Netcool, BMC Remedy and other ITSM management tools.
