10g/11g*



*JOB DESCRIPTION:-*

·         Conduct Unit Testing and create Unit Testing Results Documents.

·         Provide Support for QA/UA Testing

·         Assist Migration of code to Production.

·         Provide Warranty Support.

·         Assist and resolve production issues during Warranty Support

·         Supports best practices, platform usage standards and guidelines

·         Performs trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution
using advanced query and programming skills. Conducts root cause analysis.

·         Proactively identify cross functional or technical issues

·         Suggest and implement ideas for enhancing the customer
experience. Implementing best practices for cost saving

·         Proactively identify cross functional or technical issues

·         Proactively identify cross functional or technical issues

·         Collaborate with ETL Team on solutions

·         Assist in the development process - Create Datastage Jobs and
Sequencers

·         Create Shell Scripts for automation

·         Co-ordinate Data Modeling of Sources and Targets

·         Create Source to Target Mapping Specifications.



*REQUIRED SKILLS:*

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
experience required

·         7 + years of experience - large global companies preferred

·         5+ years of ETL development experience using Datastage and Oracle
10g/11g and using Industry best practices.

·         Proven experience designing and building integrations supporting
standard data warehousing objects (type-2 dimensions, aggregations, star
schema, etc.)

·         Performance tuning of end-to-end integration processes within
Datastage sequencers or in the source/target database endpoints as needed.

·         RDMBS database skills, including complex SQL constructs and DDL
generation

·         Experience in any of Scheduling Tools - Tivoli, Autosys, Ctrl-M

·         Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to
design, develop, test, debug, and maintain application programs.

·         Must be able to work independently, while guiding and assisting
other development team members as needed

·         Determine optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source
systems

·         Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts.

·         Ability to present technical concepts to senior level business
stakeholders

·         Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.



*DESIRED SKILLS:*

·         Knowledge of Teradata Database

·         Knowledge of Teradata BTEQ scripts

·         Knowledge of Teradata utilities such as TPump, fast load, fast
export.

·         Experience in Oracle database programming using Partitioning,
Materialized View and OLAP

·         Experience with data warehouse designing, building, installing,
configuring and supporting

·         Experience in database design

·         Worked with advanced concepts such as materialized views,
partitioned tablets, etc

·         Performance tuning of complex queries, procedures

·         Unix Shell Scripting – AIX or Linux
