We have a very urgent requirement for “*Systems Programmer " in Irvine, CA / San Antonio, TX for 6 Months+. *Please review the job requirements and provide the below requested details along with your resume. *Position: UNIX ADMIN / Systems Programmer* *Location: Irvine, CA / San Antonio, TX* *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate : Negotiable* *Job Description: *** •Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan, and manage both short-term and long-term projects and work in a multi-discipline team environment. •Demonstrated ability to diagnose and analyze application related issues, or system related issues which impact the supported applications; recommend appropriate solutions. •Thorough knowledge of the appropriate operating systems and system software. •General knowledge of system programming languages and scripts. Experience in Perl scripting is a plus. •General knowledge of networking applications, particularly Network File Sharing (NFS) concepts and procedures. •General/Thorough knowledge of file transfer protocols and processes (e.g. FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SCP, HTTPS). Experience with Sterling Commerce Connect: Direct is a plus •General familiarity with Extensible Markup Language (XML). Experience with Business Process Markup Language (BPML) is a plus. •General familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts and procedures. PKI experience related to SSL and SSH/SCP/SFTP is a plus. •General familiarity with PGP concepts and procedures. •General knowledge of software installation methods and techniques. •Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested. Requirements : •Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures. •Responsible for application maintenance (e.g. application installation, file system layout, peripheral set-up, and networking set-up), and performing daily system/application administrative procedures. •Researches, evaluates, installs, and supports application management tools . •Develops and/or thoroughly documents procedures. Provides training to operations staff. •Maintains and integrates new applications into our standard configuration. •Analyzes, tests, and evaluates new software applications. •Monitors system logs files, monitors application log files, monitors and troubleshoots system software, hardware, and overall system performance.
