*Duration: 3-4 mos. Contract * * * Responsibilities include: · Work with business teams to clarify requirements and business needs. · Collaborate with other developers and architects (when appropriate) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. · Develop high-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes. · Develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished. · Develop applications to company coding standards and quality. · Be responsive and customer service oriented to all stakeholders via phone, email, etc. during the engagement. Maintain open and courteous communication. · Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management. · Report project/task status to the appropriate Application Development Manager on a weekly basis (at minimum). Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge/experience. · 5+ Years in application development. · Solid knowledge of at least one company business function/area · Understanding of object-oriented design and programming techniques. · Ability to work effectively with, and support the needs of, project team members and the customer support department. · Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. · Demonstrate creative problem solving skills. · Demonstrate expert level of the following technical knowledge: · Required experience with Java, SQL, JDBC, J2EE, Web Services, source code control tools, and UML. · Strong experience in XML, XML parsers, and XSL. · Understanding of design impact on performance and scalability. · Applied experience in interface design or development. · Minimum 4+ years of experience with EAI, EC and B2B integration products or services. · Knowledge of data communication, application software and e-business practices. · Experience developing business process flows. · Familiarity with Sterling Commerce infrastructure solutions strongly desired. · Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., Java, JSP, JavaScript, Web 2.0, AJAX, JSON, HTTP, HTML, JDBC, application servers, application deployment, etc) or good understanding of how web applications work. * * *DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:* · Familiarity with Sterling Commerce solutions strongly desired. · Familiarity with industry consulting practices, methodologies and tools strongly desired. · Good facilitation skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to understand, document, and restate customer business requirements. · Quick-learner, team player; listening skills. · 4years of system integration and consulting experience focused on business analysis and solution design If you're not interested and might know someone who could benefit from this opportunity, please feel free to pass this email along.
