*Role: Guidewire Developer*

*Location: Boston, MA*

*Duration: 6 months*



*Java EE, Guidewire Claims Center Development, interest in predictive
modeling*



Project: The implementation of several predictive models as defined by our
advanced analytics team. These predictive models will interface with our
Guidewire Claims Center platform and provide enhancements to various
aspects of our claims handling processes.



Responsibilities



•                     Realize business objectives by implementing
enterprise software solutions.

•                     Apply technical expertise to challenging programming
and software design problems.

•                     Work as a key member of an agile software development
team.

•                     Conduct complex impact analysis.

•                     Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing,
pre-production, production, and post-release.

•                     Participate in the development of guidelines,
standards and best practices.





Qualifications



•                     BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.

•                     Generally 4+ years of professional experience.

•                     Strong enterprise-level software development
experience in an object oriented language, preferably Java/J2EE.

•                     Solid programming discipline: unit testing, fault
tolerance, data structures, complexity analysis, object oriented
principles, design patterns, etc.

•                     Hands on experience with TDD and Unit Testing
Frameworks (e.g. JUnit, TestNG).

•                     Understanding of data storage and retrieval using
relational and NoSQL databases.

•                     Understanding of rules engines (DROOLS or similar
frameworks).

•                     Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures
and shared software concepts.

•                     Experience with open source frameworks.

•                     Experience using Source Control Management Systems
(e.g. RTC, Git, SVN, ClearCase).

•                     Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum,
Kanban, XP, etc…) is preferred.

•                     An evident appreciation of current and emerging
technology trends.

·         Highly competitive applicants will have the following:

•                     Familiarity with statistical modeling and advanced
data analytics.

•                     Familiarity with machine learning techniques (e.g.
SVM, Neural Networks, Deep Learning).

•                     Guidewire development experience.

•                     JavaScript development experience
