Title: Identity and Access management (IAM) Solution Architect posted on 2014-09-18 22:33:05 Job Description: *Role : Identity and Access management (IAM) Solution Architect* *Location : NYC, NY ( Locals)* *Duration : 6+ monhs* *Technology & Information Risk (TIR) organization within Morgan Stanley (MS) is responsible to enable the Firm to manage its technology and data related risks through implementing proactive, comprehensive, and consistent practices across the Firm to protect franchise while capturing business opportunities. The Firm’s Identity and Access management (IAM) team falls under TIR organization. We build and provision technology to support effective design, operation, measurement and management of controls that reduce information and operational risk across all lines of business. MS IAM team is driving an aggressive program of change which will realize the definition and implementation of an IAM target state architecture. The IAM solution architects are tasked with driving the strategic direction and designing solutions across all aspects of identity entitlement management. The role is for a highly skilled Solution Architect to work on the definition of the target state and solutions to implement it starting from the current state. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can execute tactically, be a self-starter, with the ability to influence stake holders and SMEs, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and be able to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:Defining the target state functional and conceptual architecture for the components and data in IAM problem domain.Creating documentation, using standard design tools and methodologies, that conveys the target state functional and conceptual architecture through concise diagrams and descriptions of the entities, relationships and constraints with examples.Describing each functional area, their key concepts, components, capabilities, and interactions.Defining the requirements and principles of the target state of IAM problem domain.Defining and syndicating the standards for the IAM problem domain.Gathering the knowledge and information required and creating application specific current state documentation for existing applications and systems with respect to their IAM controls.Applying the standards and target state requirements to assess the current state of the systems and identify gaps.Defining system specific target state documentation that addresses the gaps with specific recommendations.Providing clarifications and accountability for all design decisions of the program.Assessing, contributing to and validating solution design and platform selections for the IAM department.Reviewing all architecture decisions with cross-functional, cross-work-stream impact to application, data, infrastructure, and vendor solutions.Confirming compliance of design decisions with established enterprise standards, design policies, and frameworks.Researching new technologies and/or facilitating adoption as an enterprise standard.Skills Required10+ Years of technology design and implantation experience in an IT organization preferably in the financial industry.Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills required.Prior Solution Architecture ExperienceDemonstration of current skills with design tools: UML, Power Designer, or the like.Experience in Identity and Access Management (Minimum 2 years of experience)Experience with Object Oriented Programming like Java or .Net.Experience with software design patterns, unit testing, performance / memory analysis, and n-tier service-oriented architecture.
