Title: Sr. Analyst Business Intelligence posted on 2014-05-06 15:32:12 Job Description:*Position: Sr. Analyst Business Intelligence * *Location: Winston Salem, NC* *Duration: 3 months for initial contract, extendable for up to 1 year based on performance.* Job Function/Purpose Serve as a liaison between HBI Technology and the business client. Assesses client needs, and provides working leadership in the collection, analysis, review, and documentation of those business needs and the requirements to meet those needs. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities Responsible for the collection, analysis, and documentation of a client’s business requirements. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: • Participates in short-term planning sessions with a client to implement process improvement within an assigned client area. Generally involves using and improving information systems. Documents discussions and agreements. • Establishes liaison relationship with business partners in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. • Assesses client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to identify business priorities and advice on options. • Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required • Provides factual content to feasibility study for standard development projects and enhancements. • Develops, writes, and communicates requirements for the implementation of business solutions. Procures technical assistance to help in problem resolution. • Develops user test cases and validates test results during user acceptance testing. • Investigates, resolves and escalates problems. Analyzes metrics to ensure customer satisfaction. • A high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication • Promotes an understanding of IT roles, processes and activities to the business units. Supports and participates in the formal reporting of project status. • Responsible for adhering to applications security procedures, change control guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley IT and business requirements. Job Requirements: Experience/Skills/Education Requirements I. [Indicate those qualifications (minimum) required to fulfill the responsibilities in an acceptable manner.] o Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance or Analytics. o 4 or more years of relevant technical or business work experience. o Excel Skills o Advanced Database SQL Skills o Working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, ROLAP/MOLAP Cubes etc o Ability to work with large volumes of Data. o Strong project management capabilities to manage multiple project streams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way required II.
