*POSITION*

*QA Lead*

*Pittsburgh, PA*

*6+ months*

*Max Rate: $35/hr*



*Required Skills (Must have):*

   - 8+ years as a test analyst with strong hands-on test engineering
   skills to drive results.
   - 2+ years as a QA Lead
   - Successful hands-on experience in working with an Onshore/Offshore
   distributed testing model.
   - Must have strong organizational skills with ability to think on
   his/her feet
   - Must have ability to coordinate test team members with respect to
   multiple types of testing situations and system interfaces
   - Skill to be able to visualize the entire suite of applications from
   end-to-end with heavy emphasis on Functional Integration and Regression
   testing
   - Strong experience with ability to communicate with the business side,
   understand their needs and articulate the test strategies
   - Strong experience with full risk management lifecycle ((Identify
   information assets and/or risk areas, Quantify and qualify threats, Assess
   vulnerabilities, Mitigate risks to close gaps and establish controls,
   Reassess and manage ongoing risks)
   - Quickly adapt to changing requirements within the same scope of effort
   with an keen understanding when it will be necessary to escalate the change
   to the testing schedule
   - Experience in System integration testing
   - SQL scripting and Database testing
   - Experience in managing projects using HP tools:  set of tools such as
   Quality Center (QC)
   - Must have worked on Agile /Scrum methodologies.



*Complimentary Skills *(*Good to have*):

   - Testing and functional experience with any of the ERP packages
   - Experience with CPG industry vertical
   - Large scale integration projects involving multi-tier applications
   - Web-service testing



*Test Planning*:

   - Define, along with stakeholders, the release test strategy and plan.
   Interface/coordinate with technical teams and user acceptance team on
   testing approach
   - Manage Risk Management Lifecycle with designated stakeholders
   - Estimate required testing resource roles and staffing
   - Ensure alignment of testing and associated deliverables within overall
   Release Milestone Planning and specific project planning
   - Oversee the preparation of test plans and test cases utilizing subject
   matter experts, as required
   - Oversee the preparation and maintenance of test data
   - Coordinate and facilitate  test case review sessions to ensure
   accuracy, quality and completeness of test scenarios
   - Ability to collaborate to ensure customer’s Change Management,
   Configuration Management, Defect Management, and Environment Management
   Processes are in place to support the testing activities
   - Able to perform root cause analysis as well as develop baseline test
   metrics for ROI models



*Test Execution/Coordination*:

   - Ensure timely execution of test plans and provide oversight and
   guidance
   - Provide testing coordination assistance to ‘end user’ and IT members
   (tracking on progress, defect reporting, re-testing, etc.)
   - Manage customer expectations during testing cycle
   - Drives defects towards resolution; proposes and designs retest cases,
   scripts and data. Contributes to the defect management: defect status, root
   cause, triage meetings.
   - Utilize negotiation skills to evaluate priorities and resolve
   conflicts during testing phase
   - Create and execute formal sign off and acceptance with customers and
   involved IT departments



*Documentation & Reporting*:

   - Analyze test results ; verify tested solutions are aligned with
   requirements & designs
   - Register and file results of testing  in accordance with policies &
   procedures
   - Present results to customer management and demonstrate ROI
   - Evaluate test process with customers periodically for continuous
   improvement
   - Status reporting of testing progress and defects during testing phases
   - Participate in project meetings to provide updates on testing
   deliverables, testing milestones, etc.
